Album Projects
Musicians are invited to stay for a number of days, in the relaxed, stress free environment of the beautiful Coromandel, for the duration of a specific project, recording when ready and inspired.
Recording
Typically it will take a full two days to record and rough mix a 5 song EP, provided the songs have been well rehersed and minimal retakes are required. Full length albums will require more time.
Mixing
Mastering
For a full commercial release we recommend an album is mastered (or pre-mastered to be accurate) by a specialist, such as at Kog Transmissions, Stebbing or York Street.
T
his typically costs between NZ $120 - $160 per track. The result is a professional final polish, with accurately balanced frequency response and good levels of compression. Siege Recordings can prepare and deliver the mix to the mastering studio.
However for projects on a limited budget, we can perform a high quality final mixdown in house that in many cases will be sufficient.

Voice - family story archiving
Siege Recordings offers cost effective voice recording, ideal for DVD voice over, film narration, or for recording and archiving your own family stories.
Recordings are edited and delivered as high resolution digital files.
Live
Multi-track live shows for mixing later in the studio, recordings can then be mixed at Siege Recordings or delivered to you as high resolution stems to mix yourself.
An on-site recording studio can easily be set up in almost any location, to capture music, speeches, stories, choir groups, kapa haka performances, or anything really.
natural spaces
When producing music, utilizing natural reverberant spaces, such as in caves, forests, or churches is a great way to add a unique flavour to a piece. Natural reverb can be infinitely more appealing than artificial digital reverb.
