Andy and Paul are two pretty likable fellows who have taken the world by storm since their famous pumpkin hat incident at Hauraki House Gallery in 2008. ‘They are a guitar driven music machine’ (Paul Flynn. circa 2004), who will mince your very understanding of NZ pop-culture into tiny little pieces and eat it in front of you without tomato sauce. ‘The music that we produce is of a quality that has rarely been seen in NZ. I am not saying that this is a good or bad type of quality; it sounds pretty good to me’ (Andy McKay – Blue Meenie).

The boys (as they like to call themselves) come from humble upbringings in small town NZ, and this has probably affected them much more than they realise. ‘They quite often wear underpants as masks and play weird target games with water bombs and little old ladies, this wouldn’t be quite so bad if they weren’t employed as care workers in a rest home’ (Trish – Paul’s Girlfriend).

‘We expect to really make an impact on the NZ music scene very soon, like maybe you might have missed us making an impact because you are reading this, that’s how soon it could be. Apparently, I have to do the laundry and dig over the Vege garden first, but when that is done, if there is nothing else that needs to be done around the house – LOOK OUT!!!’
